Base Salary

$168k - $245k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, automate, configure, and qualify customer use cases based on Cisco IOS-XR platforms.
  • Create test plans and dynamically prioritize testing based on customer needs.
  • Design and develop test frameworks and tools for test execution environments.
  • Develop web-based GUIs that use analytics and machine learning to display and analyze test execution results.
  • Drive manual and automated test cases and raise, track, prioritize, and verify defects and fixes.
  • Improve test coverage, execution, automation, performance, and configuration dimensioning.
  • Reproduce customer issues in internal test labs and generate test executions.
  • Collaborate with development, account, customer support, and customer teams to understand and validate use cases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 7+ years of relevant experience or master's degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of programming experience with Python.
  • Experience with L2 or L3 networking protocols, including ISIS, BGP, MPLS, IPv6, GRE, MPLS-TE, LDP, RSVP, Segment Routing, L2VPN, L3VPN, and EVPN.
  • Experience in networking automation or software quality assurance.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with Git, Jira, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipeline tools.
  • Industry certification such as CCIE, CCNP, or Cisco DevNet is preferred.
  • Experience with pyATS, Pytest, Ansible, or Robot network automation frameworks.
  • Experience with Grafana, Telegraf, Elasticsearch, or InfluxDB network monitoring tools.
  • Experience with Ixia or Spirent traffic generators.
  • Experience with gNMI, gRPC, NETCONF, YANG, REST APIs, or RPC network programmability.
  • Strong Linux experience and preferred knowledge of KVM, VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning is a plus.
  • Understanding and hands-on experience with Cisco IOS and IOS-XR platforms.

Benefits

  • Hybrid role in Milpitas, California, requiring three days per week in the office.
  • Starting salary range is $167,700.00 to $245,200.00, excluding incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
