Base Salary
$104k - $166k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy automated workflows, playbooks, and scripts for cyber incident triage, investigation, and remediation.
- Administer and engineer enterprise SOAR platforms, including architecture planning, system health monitoring, and version upgrades.
- Develop API integrations connecting SOAR platforms with security tools, threat intelligence platforms, and IT service management systems.
- Write and optimize Python, PowerShell, and Bash scripts for data parsing, alert enrichment, and response actions.
- Integrate Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel with enterprise SOAR platforms for automated alert triage and response.
- Troubleshoot playbook execution errors, failed API integrations, and data-ingestion bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with SOC personnel, incident responders, threat hunters, and cyber analysts to translate procedures into automated processes.
- Document automation code, architecture, and playbook logic and provide technical guidance and training to SOC personnel.
Requirements
- Minimum experience is 12 years with a high school diploma, 10 years with an AS/AA degree, 8 years with a BS/BA degree, 6 years with an MS/MA degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
- A DoW TS/SCI clearance is required.
- DoD 8570 IAT II certification is required.
- Must be DoW 8140 compliant under Work Role Code 451, System Administrator—Intermediate level or higher, by September 1, 2026.
- Previous experience in DoW or DoD enterprise network environments is desired.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control systems such as Git is desired.
- Experience with SIEM engineering, log management, and EDR/XDR technologies such as Splunk Enterprise Security and CrowdStrike is desired.
- Experience with cloud-native automation tools such as AWS Lambda and Azure Logic Apps is desired.
