Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain high-volume, high-fidelity security data models in Snowflake for detection engineering and threat hunting.
- Lead ingestion, normalization, enrichment, and correlation of security telemetry, including logs, events, metrics, alerts, configuration, and scanning data.
- Define and enforce data standards, schemas, normalization frameworks, validation checks, and data governance processes.
- Use SQL, Python, Power BI, and Snowflake interfaces to develop analytics, reporting, and metrics solutions.
- Partner with Security Operations, threat detection, GRC, and engineering teams to create scalable security data solutions.
- Serve as a technical authority and mentor while influencing data engineering, security analytics, and platform strategy.
- Improve data reliability, performance, cost efficiency, quality, and error handling.
- Manage vendor relationships, conduct proofs of concept, research industry best practices, and produce engineering, integration, and process documentation.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of database engineering experience with significant focus on security data, analytics, detection, and platform engineering.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience with databases including Snowflake, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- At least 2 years of experience with data warehouses and data lakes, including Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, or Azure Synapse.
- At least 1 year of experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with SIEM and security telemetry products such as Splunk, Cribl, Elastic, Datadog, AWS CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Azure Event Hubs, and AWS S3.
- Experience with streaming platforms such as Cribl, Kafka, and Kinesis.
- Strong Python, SQL, and/or Java, Scala, and JavaScript programming skills.
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion, data modeling, normalization, schema design, large-scale batch and streaming datasets, real-time analytics, and data quality checks.
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data privacy, compliance, security best practices, OCSF, OTEL, and security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and CRI.
- Working knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies and experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
- Must be able to work onsite four days per week and remotely one day per week from the Jersey City, New Jersey; Tampa, Florida; or Tempe, Arizona office.
