Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and enhance a real-time distributed data platform for Department of Defense customers.
- Collect, enrich, query, and present data from more than 750 sensors at millisecond latency and billion-event-per-day scale.
- Develop software using Kafka, Kafka Streams, Pinot, Java, Scala, Kubernetes, and related technologies.
- Create WebSocket and RESTful APIs.
- Work hands-on with a high-performing team and help guide software teams through large-scale production systems.
- Make technical decisions aligned with team goals and organizational priorities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience.
- Experience with Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
- Experience with Kafka and Kafka Streams.
- Experience creating WebSocket and RESTful APIs.
- Curiosity about time-series and geospatial data.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to work on supported programs.
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 90 days of employment.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with time-series data in PostgreSQL or another SQL-flavored database.
