Senior Software Engineer, Strategic Defense (Active Clearance)

Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end software solutions deployed to customers in demanding real-world environments.
- Write code to improve command-and-control products and scale mission capabilities.
- Plan, build, test, deploy, and maintain functionality for complex systems in collaboration with multiple engineering teams.
- Partner with operators, customers, and other end users to turn needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
- Travel approximately 10-30% with the team to build, test, and deploy capabilities.
Requirements
- Currently possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance or higher.
- Have 3-12+ years of experience writing production software in languages such as C++, Rust, Go, or Python.
- Have owned software features or services end-to-end, including design, implementation, deployment, and operational support.
- Be able to debug code and systems created by others and make engineering decisions with incomplete requirements.
- Be able to explain technical tradeoffs to non-software engineers, operators, hardware engineers, and customers.
- Preferred: experience with robotics, distributed systems, networking, real-time systems, air defense command-and-control programs, hardware-integrated software, or substantial data processing and analysis.
- Preferred: degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Math, or Physics.
