Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and support of full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React, and AWS.
- Drive application architecture, technical design reviews, engineering standards, and software development practices.
- Design and implement scalable microservices, APIs, distributed systems, reusable frameworks, and enterprise integration solutions.
- Build cloud-native applications and containerized deployments using AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and related technologies.
- Develop event-driven architectures using Kafka and messaging technologies for high-throughput transaction processing.
- Implement highly available, fault-tolerant, resilient, secure, and auditable application services.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, monitoring, observability, alerting, resiliency, and recovery capabilities.
- Support applications through production operations, continuous improvement, performance optimization, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Partner with product owners, architects, platform engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, knowledge sharing, and guidance across engineering teams.
- Contribute to strategic cloud, application modernization, and enterprise technology roadmap initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale software applications.
- Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives and delivering scalable technology solutions.
- Deep expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate.
- Strong experience building frontend applications with Angular and/or React, including TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and highly scalable enterprise applications.
- Experience with Apache Kafka or Confluent Kafka and enterprise integration, messaging, and transaction-processing systems.
- Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS and deploying containerized applications with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Jira, and CI/CD automation.
- Strong SQL, database development, and performance-tuning experience with Oracle or DB2.
- Knowledge of secure coding, application security, reconciliation, auditability, data integrity, observability, resiliency, capacity planning, and operational readiness.
- Ability to influence technical direction, drive architectural decisions, solve complex problems, communicate effectively, mentor engineers, and collaborate across functions.
- Preferred experience with Spring Cloud, IBM MQ, Solace, Python, automation development, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, large-scale transaction platforms, mainframe ecosystems, AI-assisted development tools, and financial or other highly regulated industries.
