
Python AWS Software Engineer III

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software code satisfies design constraints.
- Build cloud-native solutions on AWS and develop AWS Glue jobs.
- Develop data-intensive applications and workflows using Databricks and Spark.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets, create visualizations and reports, and use findings to improve applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating generated outputs.
- Guide peers on responsible and secure use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining Python code and using database querying languages in a large corporate environment.
- Extensive experience designing and delivering cloud-native AWS solutions involving compute, storage, security/IAM, networking, and observability.
- Experience building data-intensive applications and workflows with Databricks, Spark, and jobs or workflows.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate and refine their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
- Experience with Airflow is preferred.
