Responsibilities
- Reduce the latency and cost of Asana’s retrieval system
- Improve the quality and relevance of search results
- Expand retrieval capabilities to new Asana objects and third-party data sources
- Build and optimize search infrastructure using OpenSearch or ElasticSearch
- Contribute to embeddings-based retrieval and semantic search features
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in New York City and colleagues in Warsaw
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience writing production code
- Hands-on search engineering experience with OpenSearch or ElasticSearch
- Experience with embeddings and machine learning approaches to search and retrieval
- Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies and willingness to apply them to improve productivity, collaboration, or decision-making
- Applied AI experience is a plus
