Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of engineering solutions from design through development, deployment, and production support.
- Design, build, and operate scalable APIs and backend services.
- Solve complex technical problems and drive system design decisions.
- Review code and maintain standards for quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Drive automation and improvements in developer productivity and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and SRE teams and business stakeholders.
- Mentor engineers and help them solve technical challenges and grow their skills.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience building cloud-based, highly available systems.
- Deep expertise in backend engineering, including API design, reliability, and production support.
- Experience delivering and operating end-to-end systems in production environments.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and influence design decisions.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with banking, payments, or open banking environments, including PSD2.
- Preferred experience with Open Banking or bank connectivity at scale.
- Preferred experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Copilot.
- Preferred track record of improving efficiency through automation.
- Preferred familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and platform governance.
