Responsibilities
- Design and develop performant cloud developer tools for data modeling, transformation, and code generation.
- Develop and maintain the semantic data modeling framework, principal data model, metadata catalog, and query language specification.
- Own features from design through delivery and provide sustained care after release.
- Collaborate on semantic modeling, language and compiler design, developer toolchains, APIs, and system architecture.
- Mentor and be mentored on backend and data storage technologies.
- Improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability.
- Work across teams and time zones in a distributed environment.
Requirements
- Experience building data-model-driven declarative systems and domain-specific languages.
- Experience with schema design, type systems, data transformation pipelines, data-model verification, and developer tooling.
- Experience developing cloud-based or highly concurrent distributed systems.
- Strong computer science background including algorithms, graphs, computation theory, recursion, automata, and regular expressions.
- Production-quality experience with Go and Python, with willingness to learn additional languages.
- Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Comfort with unit, integration, end-to-end, fuzzy, and property-based testing.
- Preferred experience with graph databases, semantics, ontologies, information architecture, code optimization, profiling, CLI tools, test automation, testing frameworks, orchestration systems, and CI environments.
- Preferred familiarity with Alloy, TLA+, Agda, formal software verification, and compiler implementation.
