Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable, production-grade data pipelines using Python-based ETL frameworks and tools.
- Develop and optimize Python scripts for data transformation and workflow orchestration.
- Design and implement data processing solutions across cloud platforms for analytics and machine learning initiatives.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability through testing, validation, monitoring, and recovery planning.
- Transform raw data into clean, structured datasets for business intelligence and AI/ML models.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Support existing Python scripts and AI models that are critical to business operations.
- Manage data acquisition, metadata management, cleansing, distribution, and backup planning.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of work experience is required, with 3 or more years preferred; the detailed qualifications also request 6 or more years of hands-on data engineering experience.
- Expert-level Python skills for data processing, including experience with Pandas, NumPy, and similar frameworks.
- Proven experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines with Python-based frameworks such as Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, and Lambda.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native data services.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD practices, and collaborative development workflows.
- Understanding of machine learning workflows and requirements for ML-ready datasets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica and Hyperion is expected or preferred.
