Responsibilities
- Support and integrate automation and robotic systems including MCS, low-level controllers, dispatching, traceability, and monitoring tools.
- Develop, configure, and maintain automation workflows for robotic handling, AMHS, and process equipment.
- Design, develop, and maintain robotics and automation software for lights-out manufacturing operations.
- Manage application and SQL/NoSQL databases used for logging, traceability, and automation analytics.
- Implement and support SECS/GEM communication protocols and REST integrations.
- Oversee network configuration and connectivity involving switches, wireless access points, VLANs, firewalls, server provisioning, and load balancing.
- Provide Level 2/2.5 factory support and lead incident response, escalation, problem management, root-cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
- Create and execute functional, integration, and user acceptance tests, and maintain validation and compliance documentation.
- Conduct training for engineers and operators and maintain technical, operational, and user documentation.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including off-hours, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in semiconductor automation systems, with a focus on lights-out automation, factory system architecture, and software development.
- Experience with lights-out manufacturing, MCS, AMR/OHV, and stocker systems.
- Strong software development experience with Java, Python, C#, and Docker; VDA 5050 knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience managing applications and databases such as MySQL, MS SQL, and Oracle.
- Familiarity with switches, wireless access points, VLANs, and network troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with incident and problem management processes and tools.
- Deep understanding of SECS/GEM communication protocols and REST API development and integration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and responsively to critical factory needs.
