Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for shared AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, including GPU-focused workloads.
- Lead complex, cross-company infrastructure initiatives from design through rollout and operation.
- Evolve Kubernetes clusters, cloud networking, identity, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Build reusable Terraform patterns and self-service infrastructure tooling.
- Improve GitOps, observability, capacity planning, incident response, and recovery practices.
- Use production signals and developer feedback to identify platform friction and measure improvements.
- Support GPU infrastructure and broader compute platforms, sunset legacy tooling, and reduce operational toil.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, implementation, and incidents.
Requirements
- Deep experience building and operating Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure in production.
- Strong software engineering skills in Go, Python, or a similar language.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and with designing systems relied upon by other engineering teams.
- Track record of leading complex technical work across teams, including architecture, delivery, and operational follow-through.
- Strong judgment across distributed systems, networking, security, reliability, and cloud cost.
- Clear communication and the ability to align people around practical technical direction.
- Familiarity with GPU workloads and orchestration is preferred.
