Software Engineer Junior - MDM
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support, monitor system health, triage technical issues, and maintain reliability and uptime for MDM applications.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve production bugs and data pipeline failures through root-cause analysis.
- Design, code, test, and deploy feature enhancements, optimization patches, and operational automation across MDM pipelines, APIs, and workflows.
- Maintain and enhance data integrations, API orchestration services, Airflow workflows, and batch and real-time data processing pipelines.
- Support data quality validation, data stewardship workflows, and third-party data enrichment integrations.
- Write Java and Python code, SQL scripts, APIs, and automated unit tests; participate in code reviews, releases, operational readiness reviews, and sprint planning.
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting playbooks while supporting planned work and high-priority incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of relevant software engineering, data engineering, enterprise application support, or maintenance experience.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and production troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, preferably Java or Python, and RESTful API development or integration.
- Experience with database management, SQL scripting, data modeling, and diagnosing complex data anomalies.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
- Understanding of version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms, ETL/ELT workflows, streaming technologies, or enterprise integration patterns.
- Preferred: experience with MDM platforms such as Informatica SaaS MDM or Reltio.
- Preferred: experience with MuleSoft, Apache Airflow, Kafka-based pipelines, L2/L3 support, incident management, on-call rotations, Jira, ServiceNow, advanced SQL, generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, Salesforce, Data Cloud, or CRM platforms.
