Responsibilities
- Manage business-critical cloud systems, monitoring, backups, platform tuning, and operational availability.
- Maintain cloud environments based on Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud, including Kubernetes and managed container platforms.
- Build new environments in a DevOps team using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and GitOps with Argo CD.
- Respond to customer requests, incidents, changes, and operational issues using ITIL practices.
- Participate in technology transitions, operational planning, security collaboration, problem solving, process optimization, and safety testing.
- Report tasks, activities, and SLA goals to customers or project managers.
- Oversee sub-projects, conduct daily stand-ups, delegate tasks, and assist with team leadership and delivery.
- Coach and guide more junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a system engineer, operations engineer, SRE, or DevOps engineer in a cloud environment.
- Working experience with on-premises Kubernetes and Azure services.
- Working knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Linux, Kafka, and scripting with Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Experience with cloud tooling, infrastructure monitoring, incident management, and operational environments.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Preferred experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Snowflake, Cloudflare or a similar WAF/CDN product, cryptography, TLS/SSL certificate management, cloud security, computer networks, and Internet protocols including HTTP, TCP, UDP, and DNS.
- Ability to stay current with new technologies, organize work effectively, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
