Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and debug embedded and systems software, including firmware, drivers, and low-level services, for Nitro and Graviton platforms.
  • Write and optimize C and C++ code close to the hardware.
  • Collaborate with hardware, silicon, and verification engineers on new chips and platforms.
  • Debug software and hardware issues using logic analyzers, JTAG, logs, debuggers, traces, and system-level tooling.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement of software and processes.
  • Develop and troubleshoot driver features, firmware fixes, and chip bring-up items on real hardware or emulation/simulation environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid programming foundations in C and/or C++.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and computer architecture.
  • Ability to write clear, correct, and maintainable code.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Preferred: academic, internship, or personal project experience with embedded systems, firmware, device drivers, operating systems, or low-level programming.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Linux, the Linux kernel, or real-time operating systems.
  • Preferred: exposure to CPUs, memory hierarchies, virtualization, or Arm architecture.
  • Preferred: experience with hardware/software co-development, debugging tools, Python, or shell scripting.
