Base Salary
$122k - $153k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve UI architecture strategy for embedded environments, including navigation, state management, reusable components, versioning, and performance optimization.
- Translate customer, product, and operational requirements into scalable, user-centered UI solutions.
- Integrate UI layers with onboard and embedded systems, APIs, infrastructure, and backend services while addressing data contracts, error handling, security, and reliability.
- Establish reusable UI patterns, shared components, and design standards across MineStar products.
- Lead and contribute to the design, development, testing, and release of embedded web applications.
- Define automated unit, component, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies and performance benchmarks.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, design reviews, and architectural governance across engineering teams.
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, specifications, estimates, and validation artifacts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, software, electrical, computer, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in lieu of the degree.
- Extensive professional experience as a web application developer, UI Architect, or equivalent delivering production software.
- Demonstrated experience developing embedded web applications with HTML5 and Angular.
- Experience with UI architecture, Web Components, micro-frontend-style composition, and shared component governance.
- Experience with 3D and map-based visualization using WebGL, OpenLayers, and/or three.js.
- Experience optimizing performance for embedded environments, including startup time, rendering performance, and memory constraints.
- Knowledge of automated UI testing, API integration, error handling, logging and telemetry, and secure UI design principles.
- Preferred experience with C++, Python, GNSS positioning, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, real-time operating systems, and WebAssembly.
- Fluency in English and French is preferred.
