Responsibilities
- Build and maintain security tooling for vulnerability management, asset discovery, and CMDB lifecycle management.
- Implement automated security checks, compliance controls, and deployment safeguards in CI/CD pipelines.
- Provision and operate secure AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native practices.
- Implement Kubernetes workload protection, policy enforcement, cluster hardening, and runtime monitoring.
- Investigate security and infrastructure incidents, perform root cause analysis, and deliver long-term remediation and automation.
- Improve logging, metrics, alerting, security observability, runbooks, and operational documentation.
- Partner with developers, platform teams, and SRE teams to integrate security into development and deployment processes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in security engineering, infrastructure, site reliability, or platform engineering roles.
- Strong software development skills with experience building production-grade tools, services, or platforms using Go, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience developing internal security platforms for vulnerability management, asset inventory, or CMDB systems.
- Strong experience securing AWS or Azure environments and production containerized workloads.
- Hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience operating CSPM and cloud security scanning platforms and remediating critical vulnerabilities with engineering teams.
- Hands-on Kubernetes security experience, including cluster hardening, workload protection, policy enforcement, and runtime monitoring.
- Deep understanding of Linux systems, networking, distributed systems, and security controls.
- Experience integrating automated scanning, policy enforcement, and secure deployment practices into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with observability and security monitoring tools, including logging, metrics, alerting, and SIEM capabilities.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with developers, SRE, and platform teams.
