Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship features across the MetaDefender Endpoint C++/Qt codebase.
- Support Windows as the primary platform, with macOS and Linux support.
- Use GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation.
- Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability before release.
- Author and maintain AI context files for owned modules.
- Review human- and AI-generated changes with a security-first approach.
- Mentor teammates on effective AI tool usage and endpoint security C++ best practices.
Requirements
- At least three years of professional C++ development experience.
- Strong knowledge of memory management, concurrency, RAII, design patterns, and secure coding.
- Experience shipping cross-platform desktop or endpoint software on Windows; macOS and Linux experience is a plus.
- Debugging experience with WinDbg, lldb, or gdb.
- Unit testing experience with GoogleTest, Catch2, or an equivalent framework.
- At least one year of professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code to ship production code.
- Preferred experience includes endpoint security, antivirus/EDR, device control, or Windows internals.
- Preferred experience authoring AI context files that encode architecture decisions and forbidden patterns.
- Preferred familiarity with running AI agents in CI/CD pipelines for lint fixes, test generation, and failure triage.
- Python or Go experience is preferred.
- Qt/QML application development across Windows, macOS, and Linux is preferred.
- Open-source contributions or personal projects demonstrating work with AI tools are preferred.
