Base Salary
$175k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate the firm’s AI platform for Python-based AI application development and deployment.
- Manage Azure AI Foundry model deployments, AI hubs, project workspaces, and access controls.
- Integrate Anthropic Claude API and Azure OpenAI with secure API access, gateway controls, rate limiting, cost monitoring, and observability.
- Build internal developer tooling and SDK scaffolding for AI application development.
- Build and maintain Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks data pipelines.
- Implement vector search and document retrieval infrastructure for RAG applications.
- Manage Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB data stores.
- Provision and maintain Azure and AWS infrastructure using Terraform or Bicep.
- Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Manage Docker and Kubernetes workloads on AKS for AI applications and API services.
- Implement secure DevOps practices, secrets management, dependency scanning, policy enforcement, encryption, audit logging, and access controls.
- Design MNPI segregation controls and enforce AI governance guardrails, content filtering, and usage logging.
- Manage AI platform identity and access using Azure Entra ID, RBAC, and managed identities.
- Produce architecture designs, runbooks, and technical documentation, and support application developers with platform guidance and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 8 years of infrastructure engineering, cloud platform engineering, or data engineering experience.
- Experience building shared platforms or developer services in an enterprise environment.
- Expertise with Azure AI Foundry, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, AKS, Azure API Management, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Entra ID.
- Strong Python skills for backend services, FastAPI or Flask applications, and automation scripting.
- PowerShell experience for infrastructure tasks.
- Experience with Terraform and/or Bicep, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Production experience integrating Anthropic Claude and Azure OpenAI, including token cost management and observability.
- Experience with RAG pipelines, vector search, document processing, and retrieval patterns using Azure AI Search or pgvector.
- Familiarity with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AWS Bedrock, S3, IAM, AutoGen, LangGraph, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks Unity Catalog, or Azure Synapse.
- Knowledge of RBAC, managed identities, private endpoints, Key Vault, network segmentation, secrets management, SAST tooling, and secure CI/CD design.
- Azure certifications such as AI-102, DP-203, or AZ-305 are relevant, and investment-banking or regulated-financial-services experience is preferred.
Benefits
- Expected annualized base salary is $175,000 to $215,000, with possible discretionary bonus and additional benefits or incentives.
