Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own onboarding of vendor and alternative datasets from sample evaluation through ingestion pipelines and production monitoring.
- Build point-in-time-correct datasets that preserve delivered history and handle vendor revisions, restatements, and backfills.
- Design entity-mapping and reference datasets connecting vendor identifiers to tradable instruments.
- Apply LLMs and agentic tooling to extract structure from documents, filings, transcripts, and data dictionaries and automate data-quality workflows.
- Run data-quality and vendor-evaluation studies covering coverage, revision behavior, and panel stability.
- Create research-ready datasets for large-scale historical analysis and backtesting.
- Improve shared ingestion platforms and tooling to accelerate future dataset onboarding.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building Python data applications and pipelines over large historical datasets.
- Experience ingesting and normalizing third-party or vendor data at scale through S3, SFTP, cloud data shares, or APIs.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Parquet, Arrow, DuckDB or similar tools, and NumPy, Pandas, or Polars.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data accuracy, reproducible research workflows, and preferably temporal or versioned data modeling.
- Demonstrated experience operating production data pipelines, including monitoring, alerting, backfills, restatement handling, and incident forensics.
- Ability to collaborate with researchers and scientists to turn ambiguous ideas into robust datasets and scalable workflows.
- Experience applying LLMs to extraction, classification, entity resolution, or data-quality checking is a plus.
- Experience with AWS S3 or Snowflake and prior C++ experience are pluses.
- Quantitative-finance or electronic-trading experience is a plus but not required.
- An advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
