Base Salary
$180k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify, scope, and drive high-impact technical and user-facing projects across the AI team's stack.
- Build and ship applications and APIs that expose AI capabilities to customers.
- Mentor and advise engineers and peers on technical and personal advancement.
- Make technical decisions and implement solutions through hands-on, technically deep work.
- Own data pipelines, including teleoperation and demonstration-data ingestion, labeling and curation tooling, and dataset-quality metrics, as applicable.
- Build training and evaluation infrastructure, including training pipelines, experiment tracking, GPU orchestration, model versioning, and deployment to robots, as applicable.
- Integrate perception systems through camera calibration, vision pipelines, and reliable delivery of model outputs into the robot runtime, as applicable.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience working in complex environments.
- Strong technical background with approximately 70% backend and 30% frontend experience or flexibility to work across both.
- Professional experience in at least one AI-adjacent area such as MLOps, data pipelines, or computer vision is strongly preferred.
- Experience may include building training or inference infrastructure, large-scale data ingestion and curation, or production vision pipelines; training models directly is not required.
- Ability to work as a self-driven, creative, resourceful, impact-focused generalist in an ambitious environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in supporting peers.
- Robotics experience or a robotics background is not required.
