Base Salary

$207k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and scale engineering solutions for Responsible AI research priorities.
  • Run rigorous experiments and work with Research Scientists to advance Responsible AI.
  • Establish best practices for code quality, scalability, and system design as a technical anchor.
  • Present engineering trade-offs and research results to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in machine learning engineering or large-scale software systems.
  • 3 years of experience with Python.
  • 3 years of experience with ML frameworks such as JAX, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or PhD focused on Machine Learning.
  • Preferred experience includes AI safety or responsible AI research, Python and C++ for high-performance ML library development, harmful manipulation or deceptive behavior analysis, AI safety evaluation and mitigation, and evaluation frameworks or automated testing pipelines for ML models.

Benefits

  • 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits are provided in addition to base pay.
  • US base salary is listed for the role; individual pay depends on skills, experience, education, and training.
