Base Salary
$123k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor AI engineers and cross-functional colleagues while enforcing engineering best practices.
- Design, develop, integrate, deploy, monitor, and maintain machine learning models and AI systems in production.
- Build AI and machine learning frameworks, prompt-engineering solutions, NLP models, Big Data pipelines, and AI-based process automation.
- Lead development of distributed AI platforms, real-time inference systems, cloud-native AI services, retrieval pipelines, autonomous workflows, orchestration frameworks, and system-level evaluations.
- Establish machine learning operations pipelines and standards for AI reliability, safety, explainability, observability, security, model governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable AI and machine learning solutions and collaborate with product and business teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or comparable experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of Python, Hadoop, Spark, NLP techniques, BERT, Transformer models, and their real-world applications.
- Deep expertise in machine learning model selection, evaluation, optimization, and application to real-world problems.
- Expert understanding of LLM systems, agentic workflows, retrieval strategies, scalable orchestration patterns, and generative AI.
- Experience with software development focused on machine learning, generative AI, Big Data, and prompt engineering.
- Experience with LLMs such as GPT-3.5/4, AI model deployment, machine learning operations tools, data pipelines, ETL processes, and containerized deployments.
- Experience with Python, R, Java, or C++, continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines, and machine learning algorithms.
- Extensive experience architecting and deploying large-scale AI systems in production, including distributed AI platforms, real-time inference systems, and cloud-native AI services.
- Advanced expertise in one technical domain and moderate expertise across several domains.
