Base Salary
$141k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to architect and launch new user-facing features and products.
- Design and drive initiatives that improve the availability and reliability of backend systems.
- Improve engineering processes and tools that support scaling the codebase and team.
- Mentor less experienced engineers.
- Travel occasionally to support customer deployments and onsite implementations.
Requirements
- Have 5+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, and operating complex production systems.
- Have hands-on experience developing real-time communication platforms or other low-latency real-time systems.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Have experience building highly available, fault-tolerant, and resilient services at scale.
- Demonstrate expertise in reliability patterns including redundancy, failover, graceful degradation, recovery, and observability.
- Show technical ownership of business-critical systems where performance, uptime, and reliability are essential.
- Have experience integrating AI-assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle to improve productivity, quality, testing, documentation, and delivery.
