Responsibilities
- Bridge gaps between core infra, security, QA, and development teams.
- Manage application deployment and GKE platforms.
- Work with the Dev team to understand application architecture and bottlenecks.
- Create and maintain data stores and data platform infrastructure using IaC.
- Own the end-to-end availability, performance, and capacity of applications.
- Create and manage the internal infrastructure platform for CI/CD processes.
- Provide 24/7 infrastructure and application support.
- Manage SLO/Error Budgets/Alerts of the internal infrastructure platform.
- Work with Core Infra, Dev, and Product teams to implement the platform.
- Manage outages and conduct detailed RCA with developers.
- Mentor and train L1 engineers and improve support processes.
- Automate repetitive tasks and toil.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in managing high traffic, large-scale microservices and infrastructure.
- Experience in troubleshooting and deploying containerized environments using Docker/containerd and Kubernetes.
- Proficient with Helm and experience in service mesh like Istio/Linkerd.
- Hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments.
- Extensive experience with Linux administration and kernel subsystems.
- Extensive experience in DNS, TCP/IP, Routing, and Load Balancing.
- Expertise in GitOps and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.
