Base Salary
$130k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Help customers choose software architectures for advanced defense and mission-critical systems.
- Explain RTI technology to executives, architects, program managers, and developers.
- Develop proof-of-concept prototypes and demonstrations for prospects.
- Develop sales strategies with account managers.
- Communicate customer technical requirements to Product Management and Engineering.
- Participate in the online developer community as an RTI and domain expert.
- Communicate RTI technology through technical articles and speaking engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or computer science; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in application-facing technical professional services or sales.
- Experience with one or more of C, C++, Python, Java, or .NET.
- Strong understanding of operating-system and networking concepts, including UDP and multicast.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated sales attitude and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience with messaging or high-performance distributed systems is preferred.
- Embedded-systems experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of JMS, AMQP, MQTT, Web Services, and current aerospace and defense industry trends is preferred.
