Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, tune, and support Elastic Stack solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Lead legacy security-platform migrations, including detection translation from SPL to ES|QL and analyst workflow modernization.
- Design and implement ingestion pipelines using Elastic Agent, Fleet, Logstash, and Beats.
- Harden federal deployments using TLS, PIV/CAC, SSO/SAML, STIG controls, and audit logging.
- Build dashboards and advanced Kibana visualizations for security operations and data-driven outcomes.
- Develop infrastructure automation with Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent tools.
- Lead client engagements from scoping through delivery and communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to stakeholders.
- Contribute reusable templates, automation, internal intellectual property, and reference architectures.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of systems engineering or infrastructure experience, including at least 2 years of production Elastic Stack experience.
- Deep knowledge of Elastic Stack capabilities, distributed cluster architecture, multi-tenant environments, and CCS.
- Hands-on experience with containerization, infrastructure-as-code tooling, and at least one major cloud provider.
- Knowledge of Linux CLI fundamentals, basic networking, and federal security controls including TLS, SSO/SAML, PIV/CAC, and STIG.
- Proven ability to analyze complex requirements, solve problems, lead engagements, and manage client relationships.
- Current and maintainable active TS/SCI clearance; full-scope polygraph is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial but not stated as required.
- Elastic certifications, Elastic Security experience, detection translation, scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell, AI-augmented search, RAG, semantic search, and professional services or consulting experience are beneficial.
