Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features across Pico’s product range.
- Build ultra-low-latency market data and order execution solutions.
- Normalize and analyze high-volume real-time market data.
- Develop maintainable and scalable multithreaded applications in C under Linux.
- Support technology expansion into new markets and deployment models.
- Collaborate with global teams across EMEA, the USA, and APAC and participate in occasional travel as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a technology firm, preferably in the financial sector.
- Proficiency in C development under Linux.
- Knowledge of multithreaded application development and IP networking.
- Knowledge of financial trading concepts and protocols, including orders, trades, quotes, and FIX.
- Ability to write maintainable and scalable code and solve complex technical problems.
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and collaborative communication skills.
- Desirable experience with automated testing, including unit and integration testing, Python, and Java.
- Willingness to learn, ask for help, accept advice, and incorporate constructive feedback.
