Responsibilities
- Support the availability, scalability, performance, and reliability of production systems.
- Implement and maintain SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for services.
- Reduce operational toil through automation and process improvement.
- Design and support fault-tolerant, resilient AWS-hosted systems.
- Manage AWS infrastructure and support cloud deployments, infrastructure changes, backups, disaster recovery, and resiliency planning.
- Support reliable deployments through CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Automate repetitive tasks with Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
- Participate in production incident response, troubleshooting, service restoration, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and reliability metrics using observability tools.
- Improve alert quality and collaborate with application and engineering teams to embed reliability into system design.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD processes.
- Understanding of SRE principles, monitoring, and reliability engineering.
- Experience with Linux systems and troubleshooting production issues.
- Basic scripting skills in Python, Shell, or a similar language.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
