Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain core API SDK components and toolkit components.
- Deliver framework features focused on security, resilience, observability, and backward compatibility.
- Integrate the SDK with ING infrastructure platforms and services, including service discovery and service mesh connectivity.
- Build and maintain connectivity modules supporting direct and proxy-based deployments.
- Design user-friendly APIs and configuration interfaces and create documentation, implementation guides, reference implementations, and best practices.
- Develop testing tools for local development and validation.
- Support teams adopting and using the API SDK and review and merge community contributions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Java development experience.
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Maven.
- Knowledge of service mesh, resilience patterns, OAuth2, JWT, PKI, mTLS, Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging.
- Preferred experience with framework or SDK development, Kafka, API gateways, OpenAPI, PostgreSQL or Cassandra, and financial services or regulated environments.
