Base Salary
$120k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate software and platform solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Analyze system requirements, customize applications, and assist with software updates and release rollouts.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in software applications, cloud infrastructure, and production Kubernetes environments.
- Build and support infrastructure automation, GitOps workflows, CI/CD processes, observability, and internal developer or self-service platforms.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on routine projects.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to verify software against technical specifications and deliver reliable applications.
- Conduct market and industry research to inform project strategies and product offerings.
- Train operational staff on internally developed applications.
- Work a regular, consistent, and punctual schedule that may include nights, weekends, and variable shifts.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or related fields.
- Experience with at least one programming language, such as Go or Python.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or OCI.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Argo CD, Terraform, CI/CD, and GitOps practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience operating production Kubernetes environments and using managed Kubernetes services such as EKS or OKE.
- Preferred familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Preferred experience building internal developer platforms or self-service tooling.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with consideration for coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
