Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure AWS cloud architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
- Mentor cloud engineers, review their work, and provide technical guidance on complex challenges.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable cloud engineering solutions.
- Develop cloud governance strategies and maintain compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and cloud management processes.
- Prepare operating instructions and end-user training.
- Participate in risk management assessments and architecture activities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with a current CI Poly.
- 10+ years of relevant IT, systems, or infrastructure experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience.
- Experience designing, building, supporting, and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure in classified government environments.
- Experience with AWS GovCloud and/or other classified AWS environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience implementing IAM, SSO, federation, security baselines, and account-auditing policies.
- Experience securing and hardening Linux or Windows cloud systems according to security and RMF requirements.
- Scripting and automation experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or a similar language.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
