Base Salary
$174k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
- Mentor cloud engineers, review their work, and provide technical guidance on complex challenges.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable technical solutions and provide engineering expertise for program requirements.
- Prepare operating instructions and end-user training.
- Develop and implement cloud governance strategies aligned with applicable standards and regulations.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure management processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud engineering best practices and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
- Participate in risk management assessments and architecture activities.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly.
- Certification meeting 8140/8570 standards, such as Security+ or above.
- 10+ years of experience as a Cloud Solution Architect, Senior Cloud Engineer, or similar, emphasizing cloud solution design and architecture.
- Extensive experience building and leading AWS cloud infrastructure at scale across IL5 to IL6+ classification domains, including hands-on use of core AWS services.
- Extensive hands-on AWS experience; Azure and/or GCP experience is preferred.
- Expertise creating, managing, and hardening cloud desktop OS images such as AMIs across multiple classification domains.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, serverless computing, and containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Hands-on experience implementing cloud security controls and integrating enterprise authentication and authorization systems such as IAM, SSO, and federation.
- Strong Python and Bash scripting and programming skills for automation, tooling, and orchestration.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
