Base Salary
$180k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain architecture for a system containing AI models, backend APIs, and a frontend web application.
- Deploy software with partners into classified customer environments, including on-site work as needed.
- Write and improve Dockerfiles to build efficient, hardened images with minimal CVEs.
- Create and improve Helm charts for deployments across cloud-backed and on-premises Kubernetes clusters.
- Improve GitHub Actions CI/CD processes for robust application and dependency updates.
- Support technical decisions and system accreditations for standards including FedRAMP.
- Contribute to company strategy, team culture, and evolving responsibilities.
Requirements
- Hold a US DoD security clearance at the Secret level or higher.
- Have 4+ years of individual-contributor DevOps engineering experience in a high-stakes customer or company environment.
- Have experience leading and collaborating with other engineers.
- Have on-site experience working with senior customer stakeholders to define infrastructure requirements and deploy software.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive ownership mindset.
- Have strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD.
- Have strong system-design and strategy experience, including multi-cloud software deployment.
- Know cybersecurity principles and best practices, especially FedRAMP and NIST 800-53.
- Experience with LLMs is a plus.
