Responsibilities
- Monitor production availability and alerts and promptly remediate production issues.
- Design, implement, and operate infrastructure and foundational cloud platform services for globally scalable applications.
- Define APIs and build scalable, highly available services, microservices, tooling, and deployment processes in Python or Golang.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code pipelines with Terraform and Helm for provisioning, configuration, and environment orchestration.
- Architect and maintain infrastructure abstraction, provisioning, deployment tooling, and developer self-service interfaces.
- Define platform-level SLOs and SLIs, improve monitoring, and support capacity planning, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Remediate security vulnerabilities and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while collaborating with SRE, application engineering, and QA teams to establish platform requirements and best practices.
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 3+ years of experience in an SRE, Platform Engineering, or DevOps role.
- Experience designing, building, and managing distributed, highly available systems and network control planes.
- Strong familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD practices, and automation frameworks.
- Deep understanding of Linux systems; system administration experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python or Golang, including scalable microservices and tooling development.
- Hands-on experience with DNS, security, virtualization, containers, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with capacity planning and cost optimization is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, ownership, and technical leadership skills.
