Base Salary
$130k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end features and see them through to production.
- Write clean, secure, readable, and scalable code.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional colleagues.
- Integrate and build for external and internal APIs.
- Develop new products in PHP and modify existing code.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and design schemas.
- Create and code complex backend algorithms.
- Profile and optimize new and legacy code.
- Use CSS and JavaScript to complete new product functionalities.
- Think cross-device and cross-platform for mobile, tablet, and desktop.
- Ship often and fast in an agile environment.
- Engage with the product, mission, and success beyond development tasks.
Requirements
- Must be able to legally work in the US.
- Deep understanding of web development concepts and principles.
- Experience with full-stack projects.
- At least one major project involving front-end, back-end, and database.
- Ability to design, develop, and launch a web application from start to finish.
- Quick learner with the ability to pick up new skills independently.
- 5+ years of experience in web development, solving challenging problems.
- 3+ years of experience in SQL, including designing relational DB schemas.
- Familiarity with web and SQL security best practices.
- Comfortable working outside the context of a framework.
- Experience using git in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel to the San Jose office up to three times per year.
