Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement resilient, stateless, scalable microservices and APIs.
- Develop reusable software components for clearing functions, margin payments, and position-limits management.
- Write high-quality Java code and build high-performing Angular front-end screens.
- Implement business logic for exchange-mandated, regulatory, and house position limits and futures-clearing workflows.
- Maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using Bitbucket, Jenkins, and OpenShift.
- Partner with QA engineers to advance test automation early in the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to build shared libraries.
- Mentor junior team members and enforce development and testing governance standards.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java, including Core Java, multithreading, and concurrency, and the Spring ecosystem.
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and deploying distributed, event-driven microservice architectures.
- Strong experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications with Docker and OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and enterprise messaging such as Kafka or IBM MQ.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, and CSS.
- Understanding of futures clearing, exchange-traded derivatives lifecycles, clearing workflows, trade allocations, and clearinghouse integrations.
- Knowledge of position-limits management, real-time monitoring, regulatory reporting, and breach mitigation workflows.
- Experience with application security protocols and standards including OAuth, TLS/SSL, SSH, SFTP, and PKI.
- Experience with distributed caching such as Gemfire or Redis is desirable.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong communication, organization, proactive problem-solving, and deadline-management skills in a global, matrixed environment.
