Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and orchestration of scalable ML pipelines spanning data extraction, feature engineering, model training, and inference.
- Build high-throughput pipelines for terabyte-scale datasets and optimize multi-GPU training of foundational transaction models such as Transformers.
- Champion machine learning methods, experimentation platforms, and tools that influence the technical roadmap.
- Drive cross-functional data architecture initiatives with Data Engineering, Infrastructure, and other teams.
- Set the strategy for MLOps infrastructure, including model versioning, automated deployments, monitoring, and observability using tools such as Prefect.
- Mentor team members through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Improve internal tools and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience designing, building, and deploying complex production machine learning systems.
- Deep understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle and experience leading scalable training pipelines for large datasets.
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, distributed or multi-GPU training, and Transformer architectures.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Prefect, Kubeflow, or Argo.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional projects and influencing technical direction across multiple teams.
- Software engineering fundamentals including data structures, design patterns, version control, testing, and monitoring.
- Strong problem-solving, technical deep-dive, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Nice to have: proficiency in Go, C++, Java, or Rust, and familiarity with dbt.
