Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and expand reusable test automation frameworks and performance suites for native macOS applications.
- Develop automated functional and integration tests for OS-level components, network interception, and local security configurations.
- Triage and eliminate flaky UI tests through Automation Guild initiatives to improve CI/CD stability.
- Contribute quality analysis, test planning, risk assessment, and effort estimates during product and system design.
- Build automation infrastructure for complex testing scenarios, including migration from Objective-C components to Swift foundations.
- Maintain and optimize CircleCI pipelines and automated quality gates for macOS client builds.
- Partner with Infrastructure and SRE teams to improve test bed environments and regression alerting.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering in Test roles, including at least 1+ year focused on automated validation of native macOS desktop applications.
- Strong coding ability in Swift, Objective-C, Java, or Python, with experience writing maintainable automation code.
- In-depth understanding of macOS development paradigms, XCTest/XCUITest, application sandboxing, and Apple developer tools.
- Hands-on experience with cross-platform automation tools, UI testing frameworks, and API validation using REST, gRPC, or WebSockets.
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as CircleCI, containerization using Kubernetes or Docker, and standard logging frameworks.
- B.Tech or B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
- Preferred experience testing security software, IAM systems, or cryptographic applications.
- Preferred familiarity with MDM profiles, enterprise macOS software deployment, Endpoint Security, and Local Authentication.
