Responsibilities
- Build and scale backend services and infrastructure for Databricks’ data and AI platform.
- Develop large-scale distributed systems and SaaS or service-oriented platform components.
- Deliver incremental product improvements aligned with a multi-year technical vision and customer value.
- Contribute to one of several areas, including log analytics, AI/BI, Unity Catalog Business Semantics, or Databricks Apps.
- Work with cloud technologies and systems that handle sensitive data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of production-level experience with Java, Scala, or C++.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures and their real-world applications.
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience working on a SaaS platform or with service-oriented architectures.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with security and systems handling sensitive data.
- Good knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to work toward a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables and motivation to deliver customer impact.
