Senior DevOps Engineer I (Automation)

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and AWS CodePipeline.
- Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Terragrunt, and CloudFormation.
- Build observability and monitoring frameworks with Datadog, CloudWatch, and custom dashboards.
- Automate environment provisioning and configuration management.
- Review and remediate vulnerabilities reported by security monitoring tools such as WIZ within agreed SLAs.
- Monitor code obsolescence and upgrade AWS codebases.
- Containerize workloads and streamline Lambda deployment packaging and dependency management.
- Automate build, test, and release workflows to improve reliability and deployment speed.
- Support staging and production releases, including rollback planning and change validation.
- Define DevOps practices for security, scaling, and fault tolerance across integration services.
- Participate in production support, troubleshoot environment-level issues, and improve alerting and recovery automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in DevOps or systems engineering roles.
- Expertise with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, SQS, SNS, and S3.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CDK, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Understanding of networking, security groups, VPCs, and API Gateway configurations.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript scripting for automation.
- Strong experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Understanding of blue/green, canary, and rolling deployment strategies.
- Ability to troubleshoot production systems and drive root-cause resolution.
- Ability to share knowledge, coach team members, and collaborate with global distributed teams.
- Comfort operating in an Agile environment and participating in sprint ceremonies.
