Base Salary
$95k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Independently execute assigned tasks and drive solutions to complex engineering problems.
- Design algorithms, analyze designs, and apply software engineering best practices.
- Develop and execute software tests to verify compliance with requirements.
- Provide independent quality assurance, process improvement, audits, metrics, automation, and engineering consultation across software and model development lifecycles.
- Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other documentation.
- Communicate with customers, stakeholders, program leadership, and multidisciplinary teams about requirements, designs, and deliverables.
- Identify program- and system-level technical risks and develop and execute mitigation strategies.
- Lead system architecture design, delegate tasks, collect design feedback, and lead a medium-sized multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the relevant discipline.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in software engineering or a related field is required.
- Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies quickly.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, leadership, and nontechnical personnel.
- Strong organization, planning, and time management skills with the ability to balance competing tasks and demands.
- Applicants selected for the position must obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
