Base Salary
$113k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze, validate, communicate, and consult on security defects from automated and manual sources.
- Guide software engineers, architects, product owners, and leaders on secure implementation, remediation, architecture, and review decisions.
- Enable and monitor automated security defect detection tooling at the repository or application level.
- Coordinate scope and access information for penetration testing and security assurance assessments, and manage assessment findings.
- Consult with software engineers to improve application security maturity using scorecards and maturity models.
- Author correction-of-error reports with software engineers to help prevent similar application security mistakes.
Requirements
- Experience as a software engineer in any language or framework, preferably with cybersecurity-related work.
- Experience working on a major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Salesforce.
- Experience analyzing and remediating findings from SAST, DAST, penetration testing, and SCA sources.
- Experience using secure coding and decision-making resources such as OWASP Top 10, MITRE CWE Top 25, and OWASP ASVS.
- Experience building or supporting web applications and APIs, including SPAs and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles, software integration, software product design, and architecture.
- Professional cybersecurity or software engineering certifications are preferred, including cloud-provider certifications, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cloud+, CCSK, or ISC2 CSLP.
