Base Salary
$126k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, build, and deliver core IAM services and features.
- Lead projects from specification through delivery and manage complex technical initiatives.
- Develop authentication and authorization capabilities for MongoDB Atlas.
- Improve the codebase, engineering best practices, and design principles.
- Define priorities, communicate focus areas, and execute against them.
- Mentor and grow other team members.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, primarily focused on backend systems.
- Proficiency in a modern compiled programming language such as Java, Go, C#, or C++.
- Willingness to learn JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend technologies such as React and Redux.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and desire to collaborate with colleagues and mentor fellow engineers.
- Experience building IAM systems, including OAuth, SSO, RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC, login, or registration systems, is preferred.
- Curiosity, collaboration, empathy, intellectual honesty, and strong problem-solving skills.
