Base Salary
$160k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and scale backend services using Next.js API routes, background jobs, and serverless functions.
- Build and productionize LLM-based agents, AI/ML infrastructure, and RAG patterns for quote analysis and supplier recommendations.
- Design PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and complex queries for manufacturing and supplier data.
- Architect event-driven pipelines for order state management, notifications, and system synchronization.
- Implement caching and rate-limiting strategies for external API integrations.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability practices and own backend incident response.
- Build internal tools and own systems end to end in a startup environment.
Requirements
- 4 to 12 years of professional experience and Staff or Senior Staff-level experience as a hands-on 0-to-1 builder.
- Professional TypeScript experience and recent hands-on Next.js experience.
- Full-stack experience across Python and Go.
- Strong data engineering experience building data pipelines and large-scale processing systems.
- Experience developing AI products or infrastructure, including production LLM products, LLMOps, model evaluations, and familiarity with the AI/ML lifecycle.
- Experience with agent orchestration, RAG, AWS or other cloud infrastructure, security, and data privacy.
- Manufacturing supply chain, procurement, or logistics domain knowledge is valuable.
