Base Salary
$150k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build resilient and secure distributed systems for AI-powered evidence search and analysis.
- Deploy LLMs, vision models, and machine learning systems in production.
- Design retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and semantic search infrastructure for unstructured data.
- Architect structured data systems, including query planning and semantic reasoning layers.
- Develop or integrate agentic systems that reason, plan, and act across investigative data.
- Drive technical solutions from idea through delivery while adapting to evolving AI models and infrastructure approaches.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of backend engineering experience building distributed systems, including senior, staff, founding, or technical leadership experience.
- Production experience deploying LLMs, vision models, or other machine learning systems.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python; JavaScript or React experience is useful.
- Hands-on experience building RAG or similar pipelines for unstructured data and structured-data systems such as query planning or semantic modeling.
- Experience with multiple infrastructure providers and a strong foundation in system security and resilience.
- Experience with both established technology organizations and early-stage startups is valued.
- Agentic AI experience is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Benefits
