Base Salary
$200k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of core software systems across Tutor’s stack.
- Own architecture, technical direction, and the evolution of complex production systems.
- Build scalable and reliable backend services, data and ML infrastructure, internal tools, and customer-facing systems.
- Collaborate with robotics, hardware, and operations teams to support machine learning, robotics, and operations at scale.
- Make pragmatic architectural tradeoffs and lead technical discussions across teams.
Requirements
- Demonstrated strong programming ability and experience building large production software systems.
- Proven track record of owning and evolving complex systems over time.
- Experience working across backend, infrastructure, and application layers.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous problem spaces and make pragmatic architectural tradeoffs.
- Clear communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions and align teams.
- Preferred experience with Python, TypeScript, Go, ML platforms, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, developer tooling, robotics or hardware-integrated systems, or startup environments.
