Base Salary
$138k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, high-quality software solutions for the ServiceNow platform.
- Implement ServiceNow configurations, scripts, custom widgets, and related platform solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software code meets design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets, develop visualizations and reporting, and use insights to improve applications and system architecture.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Maintain application resiliency, operational stability, secure coding practices, and production quality.
- Contribute to software engineering communities, scrum process improvements, estimates, and agile delivery plans.
- Collaborate with the Business Analysis team and other engineering stakeholders.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on ServiceNow platform implementation experience, including scripting, configuration, tool navigation, and custom widgets.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages, with JavaScript, GlideScript, or ServiceNow scripting strongly relevant.
- Experience programming in Java, PHP, or Python.
- Experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in a large corporate environment.
- Knowledge of agile delivery, application resiliency, security, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating and refining generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and engineering resiliency and security expectations.
- Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies and cloud technologies.
- Preferred: experience implementing Service Portal on ServiceNow.
- Preferred: strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, its PaaS model, and ServiceNow integration solutions.
