Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST and WebSocket APIs for the SpaceOps Platform.
- Build and operate cloud-native solutions at scale on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Model and manage NoSQL data stores for satellite telemetry and operational data.
- Implement and maintain security, authentication, and permissions using OAuth2, OIDC, or equivalent mechanisms.
- Orchestrate AI tooling such as Claude Code and build agentic workflows for design, implementation, review, and debugging.
- Own features end-to-end from requirements through production deployment and post-launch operation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional backend or full-stack software engineering experience.
- Demonstrable AI-leveraged workflow, including daily AI-agent orchestration and prompting with strong judgment about incorrect, hallucinated, insufficient, or unsafe output.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Node.js, C#, Java, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong NoSQL database design experience.
- Proficiency in REST and/or WebSocket API design and development.
- Experience with security mechanisms and permissions management, including OAuth2, OIDC, or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical depth.
